The announcement was made by none other than Edmund King, The British PR Professional, and the President of the Automobile Association. According to the Data, taken from the Department of Transport UK, as of April 1, the total number of charging points for Electric cars took an unprecedented rise of 17,947, when compared to the petrol stations that comes to around 8,000 only. He added: “With a 61% year-on-year increase and more public charge points being installed every week, it should give confidence to drivers that they will be able to get home in an electric car.” Boris Johnson, the President of the United Kingdom, spoke to Daily Telegraph that he is planning to invest up to 6,000 Euros for the drivers ready to exchange their petrol or diesel car for an electric car.
