Mahindra and Mahindra, one of the earliest entrants in the Electric vehicles market, will soon be launching India’s cheapest Electric SUV with a price range starting from Rs 8.25 Lacs(Ex-showroom Delhi) in the market after government subsidy. There’s still no confirmation on the launch date.

The luxurious four-wheeler is expected to come with an electric motor of 54Bhp giving a roar to the front wheels and will deliver 120 Nm of peak torque. It will be presented with an automatic transmission.

The firm claims that the EV will deliver a range of 147 km per individual charge. The liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery allows the vehicle to deliver this range. The actual range may vary depending on factors such as traffic conditions and the individual driving approach. The eKUV100 charging port can be found near the passenger front bumper.

In addition to this, the battery is expected to charge 80% in an hour with fast charging. The car will come loaded with a lot of features. Some of these will include a precooling interior that allows you to adjust the air conditioning externally, an on-board computer that supports remote diagnostics, location tracking, driving pattern tracking, remote door lock and unlock and live battery status update. 

The New Mahindra eKUV100 looks much like its Internal combustion Engine step-brother on the basis of the body with a couple of transformations to the decorative panel of the car’s dashboard, rear, and alloys. The cabin decor of the Brand New Electric car is expected to consist of multifunction steering wheel, Android Auto support, Apple CarPlay support, and touchscreen infotainment system. It does not stop here. Additionally, the connected car technology will also enable the car to share internet access that can be easily connected to your android phone application.
