By Akshay Nimbalkar 16 April 20207371 views ShareTweet 2 India's First AI enabled bike - REVOLT Revolt – an Electric motorbike company, founded by Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma has come up with India’s First AI enabled Bike. Well, that’s something to grab all the attention. In September 2019, Revolt launched two models – the RV300 and RV400. Both the models run on electricity. Despite being Electric bikes, Revolt has done a brilliant job when it comes to the looks. Both the models look muscular and stylish. And to top it all, the bikes are AI enabled. In an interview to ToI, it’s founder Rahul Sharma quoted “There is no upfront price to the product. You pay me a small amount on a monthly basis. There is no down-payment, there is no maintenance cost, no insurance cost. Everything is included. We call this model MRP – My Revolt Plan. EV is a new industry. The product has to be new and even the way we sell it has to be new.” The AI features that the bikes provide are enabled using MyRevolt mobile app. These features are: Geolocation: You can always find the location of your bike from the app using GPS. Bike sound control: Well, one advantage of electric bikes is that it does not generate any sound. But bike enthusiasts do not get the kick without the sound. The Revolt bikes come with speakers and four different firing sounds that can be controlled from the app. You can either choose any one of the four firings or ride the bike in silent mode. *only available in RV400 Geofencing: A security feature that allows you to set a specific distance perimeter. If the bike goes beyond the set perimeter, the user is notified through the app. The problem here is that the bike only notifies the user but does not cut off the bike’s motor. To start with, the bikes have been launched in 5 cities – Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Chennai.
