After launching the Hybrid version of the Niro Crossover, Kia Motors has launched the fully electric Niro in the US. The Niro is an entry-level electric vehicle with a decent range of 239 miles and is well suited for long-distance travels. It is powered by the same motor and battery pack that powers the Hyundai Kona SUV. It has been launched in 2 variants with a starting price of $38,500. Specifications and Features of Kia Niro Electric crossover
The Niro Electric crossover utilises 201-hp electric motor and 64kWh battery. Overall the vehicle looks smart and sturdy. Its electric battery pack supports DC fast-charging and is capable of charging from 0-80 per cent using 100 kW supply in an hour which is quite impressive considering the battery capacity. The Kia Niro is currently available in only 12 states.

Some of the notable features of the Niro crossover are
- Panic notifications – the vehicle will send a notification to the server if the panic alarm is triggered and the system dials 911 emergency services, provides the car position via GPS, and opens a live microphone so that emergency workers can communicate with the vehicle occupants
- “Kia Drive Wise” Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) It also includes a plethora of standard features like 8-inch touchscreen system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Antilock braking, wireless charging for phone, Traction control, Hill assist control, Tire pressure monitoring and a lot more. The vehicle is also equipped with 7 airbags, Power tilt/ slide sunroof, etc.
