Mercedes is one of the most distinctive car brands in India. Built to redefine luxury, Mercedes undoubtedly is the most desired car in the Indian Market. Adding a profound value to its distinctiveness, the Mercedes Benz India, unveiled its plans to launch its first electric car, the EQC, soon. The news will surely give its followers an environment-friendly reason to choose Mercedes over other cars. Prior to the announcement of EQC, the German car-maker Mercedes Benz had launched its flagship SUV, the GLS 2020, in India. The car for the first time made into news after its announcement in 2018 in Sweden. Thereafter, it was supposed to make its first appearance in India in 2019, but for some reason, it was postponed to April 2020, and the Global Pandemic again delayed the launch to this month. So what’s the new Mercedes EQC look like? The Mercedes EQC is expected to have a stylish 5-seater cabin with plush upholstery. The rider can enjoy the connectivity over a 10.25” display with digital instrument cluster and most importantly the MBUX infotainment panel that offers smart interactive AI assistance at fingertips. Talking about the heart of every EV, the battery, the EQC is powered by a Lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 80kWh. The riding range of EQC is claimed to be somewhere between 445-471 km on a single charge. Adding more about its performance, Mercedes stated that EQC being an electric vehicle has an accelerating capacity of 0-100 km/hr in just 5.1 seconds. The top speed achieved by the car is 180 km/hr.
