Talk about Electric Vehicles and the first name that pops up in everyone’s mind has to be Tesla. This time, they have come up with an Electric Truck (yes, you read that right) viz. the Tesla Cybertruck.
The thing with Cybertruck is that the frame of the vehicle is actually it’s body. It has been built using Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel providing certain benefits like:
- Ultimate durability
- Passenger protection
- Superior strength
- Eliminates dents & damage
- Corrosion resistance
According to Elon Musk (Founder of Tesla), they have found the Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel as the most apt material to build the Cybertruck. The smooth monochrome exoskeleton that puts the shell on the outside of the car provides the driver and passengers maximum protection.
Tesla describes their new vehicle as “built with an exterior shell made for ultimate durability and passenger protection. Starting with a nearly impenetrable exoskeleton, every component is designed for superior strength and endurance, from Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel structural skin to Tesla armor glass.”
The use of proprietary steel based alloy for Cybertruck means superior exterior strength and cost saving. This is apparent from the starting cost of $39,900.
The below table describes the features of the Electric Truck.
When it comes to performance and efficiency of this Electric Truck, the powerful drivetrain and low center of gravity provides extraordinary traction control and torque—enabling acceleration from 0-60 mph in as little as 2.9 seconds and up to 500 miles of range.
