It aims to bring together leading Bus & Car Operators from across India in eight important segments viz; Intercity, Intracity, School Bus, Employee Transport, Tour Operators, Tourists Cabs, Maxi Cabs and PPP-SPVs. Prawaas 3.0 is scheduled to be held between August 4-6 at Hitex Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad with its continued central theme “Towards Safe, Smart, Sustainable Passenger Mobility.” The event has also got support of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH), Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and Ministry of Heavy Industries, Govt. of India. Lighting of the Lamp Prawaas 3.0 will consist of all its important features like Exhibition, Conferences & Workshops, Awards Function, Round table discussions, CEO Leadership Talks etc. The Exhibition will be the largest showcase of passenger vehicles, after-market solutions, accessories, consumables, IT & ITS solutions, and allied products & services. But it’s shocking that a country like ours with 140 crore people is lagging behind in Public Transport area. While 85% of the passenger moment in India is managed by Private Operator, there is a lack of awareness, infrastructure, regulatory framework and more. Bus & Car Operators Confederation of India has more than 20,000 members through its network of associations of 36 States & UTs, and we demand that the sector should get Industry Status, Priority Funding, World-class infrastructure, taxation relief, Uniform regulations and priority to Passenger Transport.
